Hydrangea Lane

One of my favorite things about visiting the Cape is all the beautiful hydrangeas. It is actually the PH in the soil that determined their color. Up in Boston most hydrangeas bloom pink or purple, but on the cape they are always a beautiful shade of blue. My dad planted some special in our yard at home so that they would bloom blue every year!

Packing for the cape is normally rushed, I toss a whole bunch of dresses, a swimsuit, and some sandals in a bag and hope for the best. I was happy to find this oldie but goodie in my bag! Its vineyard vines a few years ago, the v-neck was a little deep for me so I had the fabric sewed up a little higher. I love the stripes, it is the perfect preppy dress! My tote is from Madewell and I got my hat at Nordstrom a couple of summers ago.

Love your outfit! Hydrangeas are so pretty, I just recently learned that their color is derived from the PH levels too. My mom loves to plant them all over our yard. 🙂
