Ultimate Palm Beach Guide: Where to Say and Eat!

Palm Beach is the perfect getaway for those looking to escape the New England winter. West Palm Beach was incorporated in 1894 and has long been a glamorous resort destination. Filled with sunny palm-lined streets, world class shopping and dinning, historic neighborhoods, and of course amazing beaches!

There is plenty to do and see in Palm Beach year round but my personal favorite time to visit is in early spring, or as we call it in Boston – second winter. If you’re looking for your next getaway I highly recommend planning a trip Palm Beach.

Where to Stay

The Colony Hotel– Located in the heart of Palm Beach, The Colony is just off the famous Worth Ave and just a couple of blocks from the beach. The Colony brings old school elegance and cheeky fun under one roof. You can expect amazing service, from the complimentary chauffeur service to customized beach picnics. The Colony is ready to meet your every need. And how cute is the pink exterior? The design of this hotel is impeccable.

The Brazilian Court– Another perfect option right in the heart of Palm Beach, The Brazilian Court has a year round outdoor pool and hot tub, is pet friendly, and luxurious guest rooms. And The Brazilian Court also features Cafe Boulud, a fabulous French restaurant that is a must visit when you’re in Palm Beach.

The Breakers– Probably the most well known spot in Palm Beach the The Breakers is truly incredible. If you have the budget definitely stay here, its beach front, has three pools, and world class restaurants, shopping, and spa services. But even is you don’t stay at The Breakers you should definitely plan to get dressed up and have a drink at HMF. The Breakers environment is filled with 1920’s style elegance, outdoor fun, and an amazing staff.  The Breakers in West Palm BeachWhere to drink in Palm Beach

Hilton West Palm Beach – For those looking for a good deal without sacrificing location and service the Hilton is a fantastic option! It is located right in downtown, and is walkable to lots of great restaurants and Rosemary Square. They have a resort style pool with cabanas for rent, pool side bar, and on Saturdays they have a live DJ! And be sure to stop by and grab dinner at their restaurant, The Galley.

The Four Seasons – Consistently amazing no matter what city you’re in, The Four Seasons is always a good choice. If you want modern luxury The Four Seasons Palm Beach is the spot for you, they have some fantastic dinning options and their own private beach!

The White Elephant – For all my Nantucket loving followers, you will be please to know that the hotel you know and love is opening a second location in Palm Beach this spring! Very excited to see this spot open!

Other recommendations – There are also some incredibly cute AirBnB’s in Palm Beach, and if you are okay with being just outside West Palm Beach there is also Eau Palm Beach and Tideline Ocean Resort. If you are looking for a really good deal be sure to check out the hotels right by the airport, most have a free shuttle bus that will take you in and out of town and can really save you some $$$.

Where to Eat and Drink

We had the chance to check out some amazing restaurants while we were in Palm Beach. From fancy steak houses to vegan friendly joints Palm Beach really has a little bit of everything.

Avocado Grill – We ate dinner here our first night and it did not disappoint! The tapas style menu is perfect if you’re looking to avoid anything too heavy. We split a bunch of different tapas, my favorite being the Hawaiian Style Brussel Sprout! In addition to tapas they have burgers and plenty of vegan options, along with a make your own margarita menu! It would be a great lunch or dinner spot, the restaurant itself has a fabulous, beach-y design, very Instagramable.

Grandview Public Market – This was probably my favorite spot we went to during our trip. Grandview is a local “food hall”, similar to Time Out Market in Fenway, it features various local chefs. I had one of the best smoothies ever from Pumphouse Coffee. They have tons of great food options, and a few bars for happy hour! Grab some food and hangout on the patio, and right next door there is a brewery if you want to sample some local beer. It is unfortunately not very walkable from any major hotels or attractions but it is well worth the quick Uber ride.

Buccan – Located right in the heart of Palm Beach if you’re looking for a really nice dinner you must visit Buccan! Another restaurant that chooses small sharable plates over large individual meals, Buccan’s menu is creative and most importantly delicious!

Seafood Bar – Right in The Breakers, the Seafood Bar is an excellent option for those of you that love sushi and raw bar! The restaurant over looks the ocean and is open for lunch and dinner, cocktail attire! They also have an incredible cocktail menu, try the Peach Blossom Martini! Want the perfect night? Head to The Breakers grab dinner at Seafood Bar as the sunsets and after that head over to HMF for late night drinks!

Bolay – Need a quick, inexpensive, but healthy lunch? This is the spot! I desperately want one of these to open in Boston. Bolay has make your own bowl or you can select one from their menu, everything is made fresh to order. Order to go and then take your lunch to the beach! Bolay has plenty of vegan and gluten free options, it is even available via Uber Eats if you want to have something delivered to your hotel.

Rosemary Square – If shopping and eating on Worth Ave isn’t in the budget you have to check out Rosemary Square. It is an elevated outdoor shopping and dinning center,  a beautiful urban oasis. The square is beautiful with tons of palm trees, fountains, and plenty of out door seating. We grabbed a casual dinner at Copper Blues, the nachos were incredible and they have a great happy hour menu! But there are also tons of other dining options, from upscale Italian to casual vegan spots. And be sure to check out all of great mural art sprinkled around the square and go at night if you want to see the “Wishing Tree” all lit up!
