October on the Hill

I have always loved living in Beacon Hill, every season, every holiday, people go all out! And October means Halloween! The displays are going up this weekend and they are already looking amazing. Take sometime next week and stroll through Beacon Hill to take in all the Halloween decorations. Acorn street always brings it but my personal favorite is Louisburg Square!

Boston Fall

I love fall in Boston, there is something so romantic about the season. The stoops in Beacon Hill get all decked out for the season, the leaves in the Commons are starting to change, and football season is in full swing!

This is one of my favorite fall sweaters, because lets be real for every beautiful crisp fall day there is a rainy fall day. Rainy days are the perfect excuse to stay inside read, watch scary movies, bake, or just lay on the couch and listen to the rain.

I am wearing my favorite Madewell sunglasses and my LL Bean muck shoes. Things I am looking forward to this October: Halloween, Oktoberfest, going to Maine, and eating lots of cider donuts! There are tons of micro-breweries in the Boston area that are hosting Oktoberfest events. Mike and I will go to Maine for a couple of days to relax, we still haven’t decided what we’re going to be for Halloween. Send me you favorite couple costumes!

Strolling into November

Some people love Halloween, they love getting dressed up, eating candy, watching spooky movies. I’m just not one of those people, I like Halloween okay but it isn’t my favorite. October may be the prettiest month of the year but November is definitely my favorite. For starters my birthday is this month, I’m going to be 22. I remember when I was 16 and I decided that 22 was old enough and I would stop aging at 22. As old as middle schoolers make me feel I still feel so young. There are still so many things I want to accomplish in life and 22 is just the beginning. November also means it is time for Thanksgiving, time to eat turkey, mashed potatoes, corn and stuffing! I am excited for the next month and I hope you are too.

Head of the Charles Regatta

This weekend marks a long standing tradition, The Head of the Charles Regatta. Two days of races along the Charles River, people from all over the world come for this amazing event. I have always loved attending this HOCR I always try and stop by the Brooks Brothers Tent to check out their Head of the Charles apparel, this year I got the cutest baseball hat! Me and my girlfriends did so much walking! Visited all the tents, and grabbed burgers from the Boston Burger Company food truck that was set up. Saturday was pouring rain so we went on Sunday and it was absolutely beautiful! A little chilly but the sun was shining! If you have never been to HOCR start planning your trip for next year!

Grand Finale

“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as is nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale” -Lauren DeStefano
One of my favorite quotes! Best thing about fall in New England is that there isn’t just one peak weekend. There is a peak in northern Maine, New Hampshire, Boston, and southern Connecticut and Rhodes Island! If you’re willing to drive you can catch a couple of really great shows! We just about reached peak in Boston and it sure is beautiful! Took a stroll around Beacon Hill and the Public Gardens and stopped in at Tatte bakery for lunch.
