The Salem witch trials are a staple in most New England history classrooms. At some point in high school English you probably had to read The Crucible. Going to Salem is fun anytime of the year, but you should definitely try to going during October! It is a month long Halloween celebration. I love to pop in and out of the Witch shops, stroll through the adorable streets, pop in and out of all the cafes.
My friends and I started at the Hawthorne Hotel and had lunch. They have a bunch of fun festive cocktails and you have to try the truffle fries! I had the seafood chowder and a Carmel Apple Martini they were both delicious the martini was super sweet so be ready! It is a beautiful hotel that’s worth a stop even if you’re not grabbing lunch. You also have to check out the Bewitched statue! Salem is fun but you have to get in the spirit. You can go to the the Witch History Museum, the Witch Dungeon, or the Salem Witch Museum. I don’t think you need to do all three in one visit but definitely check out one!
